Chartered Accountant, Forensic Accountant and Consequential Loss Specialist

David has over 20 years’ professional experience, qualifying in 2001.

For the first part of his career, David held senior accounting & finance director roles at some of the world’s largest financial institutions and FinTech companies.

For the last 10 years of his career, he has provided expert witness, forensic accounting, consulting and advisory services in civil and financial disputes.

Some examples are:

  • Calculating loss of income following the inability to continue working / trading;

  • Providing expert services for the technical assessment and loss calculations for a complex High Court class action;

  • Being a founder member of the FCA mandated review into the mis-selling of Interest Rate Hedging Products, providing independent expert determinations on consequential loss claims against the Royal Bank of Scotland / NatWest Group;

  • Providing loss reports for many business interruption claims resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic;

  • Being a founder member of the complaints scheme for customers impacted by the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Global Restructuring Group (GRG) during the financial/banking crisis.

    In particular gaining approval of the schemes’ methodology from the independent third-party monitor & subsequently providing expert determinations on consequential loss claims and providing a loss report to put the customer back in the position that they would have been in, but for any unreasonable actions of the bank;

  • Being a Court appointed Single Joint Expert, including providing company and share valuations for divorce settlements.

 

David’s reports are clear and concise, whilst providing logical expert analysis on the key issues and/or those that may be in dispute.

Emma was admitted as a solicitor in 2005 and although she is not currently practising, she has over 15 years of litigation experience, most recently as an associate with a Top 50 law firm.

Emma is Company Secretary and looks after all of the company’s administration requirements.
